Cecily's 3rd Birthday!

So yes, it's been a while. I got overwhelmed trying to figure out how to stay up to date on the blog, and then gave up entirely. As the girls keep getting older, I miss writing about our adventures and know that future me will be kicking myself. It would be ridiculous to try to go back and re-capture everything I've missed. Going forward, though, I'm going to do my best to at least create a weekly post. A few big events in the last month, though, deserve a recap... starting with Cecily turning 3!

It's insane to believe our baby is three. But sure enough, she is! We celebrated with a little party the day before the real birthday. Since seeing Tangled, Cecily has been obsessed with the movie and everything related to it. (On any given day it's questionable whether she'll answer to Cecily or insist on being called Rapunzel.) Naturally, we had to have a Tangled theme for our party. And naturally I neglected to get photos of most of the food and decorations (including the incredibly adorable-yet-time-consuming Kindgom Flag banners we hung throughout the house...). Ah well, suffice it to say that we all had a fabulous time celebrating!

Lizzy is read to party
 Virginia
Tangled Cupcakes (apparently Disney decided they'd made enough money... we couldn't find any Tangled cake toppers anywhere. So, we made our own. And future me- I hope you are still making the vegan cookies and cream cupcakes. 'Cause they are the best thing ever.)
Some Jello lakes and orange boats (not Jello shots!)
Cecily (aka Rapunzel) and one of her best buds Ted (aka Flynn... really, Han Solo)

Lizzy is ready for some food!
First attempt to get the kids onto the couch for a group photo.
Many attempts followed.

Silly gooses every one! And now Cecily gets ready for the singing...

 Yum!

After cake, we headed out into the yard for a little croquet.

Abby was SUPER excited to play.

It was a really fun party, and we were so happy to have all of Cecily's favorite friends on hand to help us celebrate!

Cecily's actual birthday coincided with Mother's Day and we had a fabulous time sharing our day! It's amazing to be that three years have already passed since we welcomed her into the world. Cecily is a fabulous kid- a total spitfire who constantly cracks us up. We love you Cec Bear!
